Impact Nuner

Nuner Elementary is our neighborhood school, and we're honored to serve there each week. Volunteers from our church provide classroom help, lunch table friendship and one-on-one mentoring for students. 

​

Basketball Outreach 

Each Sunday after church, we share a meal with neighborhood boys (ages 15-20) and then host a basketball clinic. Along with skills training, the teens hear a short devotional that points them to the love of Jesus. 

​

Deaf Michiana Church

Deaf Michiana Church meets every Sunday in their own dedicated space within our building. We're grateful to partner with them in serving the deaf community. 

​

Community Bible Study 

For more than 50 years, Community Bible Study has been making disciples through God's Word. At GCMC, they offer a Tuesday morning study for moms (with childcare provided) and a Monday evening study open to all. 

​

Food Pantry

Our food pantry provides groceries to families in River Park and beyond. Each Thanksgiving, we also distribute baskets - complete with turkeys - to households in need. 

​

Pickleball Classes

In partnership with the Forever Learning Institute, we host pickleball classes in our gym for adults 50+. It's a fun way to build friendships while staying active.

Police Appreciation Dinner

We recently hosted catered meals for all three shifts of the South Bend Police Department - even the night shift! It was a joy to serve those who serve our community. 

​

Re-Discover River Park

Our church family regularly joins neighborhood clean-up days, community events and the River Park Neighborhood Association, working together to bless our neighborhood.

Youth Outreach 

​

Our Youth Group is passionate about serving others. This past year, they've:

• Partnered with Cultivate Food Rescue to repackage meals for students in need

• Joined Summer of Service project 

• Traveled to Devon Oasis in Chicago, a Missionary Church ministry that serves immigrants, refugees and families living in poverty in one of the city's most diverse neighborhoods.

God has called us to reach the nations. Our church partners with missionaries across the globe, bringing the hope of Christ to regions including Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and North America.
