Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. While Sunday School classes are providing lunches for our staff throughout the month, we encourage everyone to join in expressing gratitude to our pastors and ministry leaders. Consider writing a note or giving a small gift of appreciation to Pastor Jon Ranous, Pastor Jim Bayer, Adam Willis (Youth), Tara Blankinship (Children), and Joy Drake (Worship). If you'd like, you can drop your cards and gifts off at the Info Center desk. These will be presented to our leaders on Sunday, November 2.
Thanksgiving Food Assistance
The Deacons are offering food assistance boxes for church and River Park families needing help for Thanksgiving. If you would like to request a box, please call the church office or submit a Connect Card by November 9. Boxes will be distributed on November 22 for River Park families and on November 23 for church families.
GCKids Christmas Camps
Christmas Camps kicked off on October 29! This set of camps will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Christmas camps are a special set of camps because they will lead into our Kids Christmas Program that will take place on December 14!
Young at Heart Potluck (55+)
Mark your calendar for a potluck on Tuesday, November 18, at 5:30 p.m. in Carey Hall. An exciting concert will be provided by the "Ukulele Ladies!" Sign up at the Info Center or in your Sunday School class. Come join the fun and invite a friend!
Youth Overnighter
Join us for our Youth Overnighter on Friday, November 21, at 6:00 p.m. through Saturday, November 22, at 9:00 a.m. We’ll kick off the evening with dinner together, then enjoy a night filled with games, time in God’s Word, and plenty of laughter. After getting some rest, we’ll wrap up the event with a hot breakfast on Saturday morning. Invite your friends! The cost is $10 and the deadline to sign up is November 16!
Hymn Sing
The next Hymn Sing will be on Sunday, November 23, at 6 p.m. (Note: This date is NOT on the 5th Sunday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.)
Women of Worth Christmas Event
Women of Worth will be enjoying an evening of Christmas festivities on Friday, December 5. There will be candy making, ornament painting, and fellowship, beginning at 7 p.m. at the home of Laura Meyer. Please sign up at gcmc.info.
Nominations
Church members, if you would like to nominate someone to be elected for a church position or would like more information about the process, please pick up a nomination packet at the Info Center and submit it to the church office by November 30.
Church Mailbox
If you have a church mailbox, don’t forget to check it! If you don’t have one, but would like one, just fill out a Connect Card and let us know. The mailboxes are located in the lobby across from the women’s restroom.
Community Bible Study
Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. This academic year, we will be studying the book of Psalms. A co-ed class is available on Monday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m., a class is available for women and children.
Ladies Bible Study
Ladies Bible Study will meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 12:30 to 2 p.m. All women are welcome. For questions, please contact Missy Bayer.

Are you interested in following the Lord in baptism? If so, please use a Connect Card to let Pastor Jon know. He will gladly follow up with you.
Food Pantry
The Food Pantry at Gospel Center aims to serve our River Park community, as well as our church family. If you or someone you know is need of food assistance, our pantry distributes food on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. Please contact the church office on the Tuesday prior to distribution days to have your household added to the list.
Small Groups
The Christian life isn’t mean to be lived alone. God has given us brothers and sisters in Christ to walk alongside us and help us grow in our faith. This fall, if you’re not part of a small group, we’d love to help you belong! Just use a Connect Card and let us know!

Opportunities
to serve & Give
Harvest Offering
It is time to prayerfully consider this year’s Harvest Offering. This year’s offering will go towards updating our building signage and reducing our mortgage debt. For a more detailed explanation of these endeavors, pick up a sheet about them at the Info Center. We will collect our Harvest Offering on November 23. We will provide special envelopes prior to the service.
Operation Christmas Child
Bless children around the world with the fun of gifts and the message of Jesus. Stop by the table in the lobby to pick up your box along with instructions and suggestions of items to pack. Cardboard boxes are free and plastic boxes are available for a $3 donation. You can also purchase a deflated soccer ball and pump for $5, jump ropes for $1, and scissors for $.50. Boxes are due back no later than November 16.
Food Donations for Assistance Boxes
The food pantry is requesting specific items for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Assistance boxes. Sign up sheets are located at the Info Center and in adult Sunday School classes. Food donations must be dropped off to the gym kitchen by November 16.
Basketball Ministry Lunch
The River Park Basketball ministry meets on Sundays following the morning service, and they could use some help providing lunch for 15-20 boys. Sign up for a specific date at the Info Center, or write “Basketball Lunch” on a Connect Card.
Impact Nuner
Nuner Elementary is our River Park neighborhood elementary school. As a church, we want to share the love and light of Jesus by serving our community. Nuner needs classroom assistance, lunch table partners, and mentors. If you want more information about serving, please fill out a Connect Card and let us know.
Men’s Ministry
We’re hoping to launch a Men’s Ministry team at Gospel Center! If you’re interested in helping plan events and create ministry opportunities for the men of our church, we’d love to have you involved. Simply fill out a Connect Card to let us know!
Join the Fun in Kids Ministry
Do you have a heart for children and a passion for making a difference? Help us shape young lives through our Sunday morning AWANA program or by teaching a fun skill during Wednesday night Kids Camps. Don’t wait—write “Kids Ministry” on your Connect Card, reach out to Tara, or fill out the GC Kids Teams Inquiry Form on our website. Let’s work together to help kids know, love, and follow Jesus!
Student Ministry Volunteer Opportunities
We’re looking for a few more adults to commit to Wednesday evening youth group. Teens always appreciate snacks, so we also welcome volunteers to provide treats or help prep food for youth group and special events. If you’re interested, write “Student Ministry” on your Connect Card.

Ways to Give Financially
Besides the offering taken during the morning service, there are four easy ways to give a financial donation. You can give in our church offering box located on the wall outside the sanctuary doors, online at our church website, mail it into our church office, or by texting your donation amount to 574-281-4998.
