Artisan Market at Prairie Camp
Prairie Camp (a ministry of the Missionary Church, North Central Region) will be having their 6th annual Artisan Market on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. They feature vendors who create unique, handmade, vintage, and homegrown goods in a beautiful setting. There are food trucks, a playground, free hayrdies, and more! Prairie Camp is located at 63526 CR 9, Elkhart, IN 46526.
Youth SNAC
Students are invited to join us for Youth SNAC (Sunday Noon After Church) immediately following the morning service on Sunday, October 18, until 4:00 PM. We will eat lunch together at church and then head out for an afternoon of bowling. The cost is $5 per student. Come join us for lunch, bowling, and a fun afternoon together!
Simpy Jesus - Young Adult Retreat
Young adults ages 18-39 are invited to Gull Lake Ministries October 23-25 for a retreat focused on pursuing Jesus together. Gabe and Hannah Risinger from our church lead this weekend event, bring together young adults from across the country for a weekend of worship, teaching, fellowship, and spiritual renewal. GCKids Christmas Program Registration
GCKids Christmas Program registration is open! Practices for this year’s GCKids Christmas Program will begin Wednesday, October 28, with additional practices beginning Sunday, November 1! As we prepare the parts and details for this year’s Christmas performance (December 15), we need your help by getting your child registered! Visit the above link to find all the important dates and information, and to register your child to participate. We can’t wait to celebrate the birth of Jesus with our GCKids this Christmas!
October is Pastor Appreciation Month
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. While Sunday School classes are providing lunches for our staff throughout the month, we encourage everyone to join in expressing gratitude to our pastors and ministry leaders. Consider writing a note or giving a small gift of appreciation to Pastor Jon Ranous, Pastor Jim Bayer, Adam Willis (Youth), Tara Blankinship (Children), and Joy Drake (Worship). If you'd like, you can drop your cards and gifts off at the Info Center desk. These will be presented to our leaders on Sunday, November 1.
Thanksgiving Food Assistance Boxes
The Deacons are offering food assistance boxes for church and River Park families needing help for Thanksgiving. If you would like to request a box, please call the church office or submit a Connect Card by November 8. Boxes will be available for pick up on November 21 for River Park households and on November 22 for church families.
Discover Conference
The Discover Conference, for students in 6th-12th grades, will be Jan 29-31, 2027. Space is limited and registration is open! Register at gcmc.info. For the best price and a guaranteed spot, please register by October 27.
Food Pantry
The Food Pantry at Gospel Center aims to serve our River Park community, as well as our church family. If you or someone you know is need of food assistance, our pantry distributes food on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. Please contact the church office on the Tuesday prior to distribution days to have your household added to the list.
Sunday School Classes for Everyone
Growing in God’s Word is a lifelong journey! Every Sunday, we offer classes for all age groups designed to help us better understand, love, and live out the Scriptures. In a world full of noise, we want Gospel Center to be a place grounded in Biblical truth. Come join a class this Sunday at 9:00 a.m!
Wednesday Night Adults
Would you like to develop a more consistent habit of daily Bible reading? Join Pastor Jon and others for Encounter with God, a daily devotional with weekly group discussion. On Wednesdays from 6:30–7:45 p.m. in Room N103, men and women are invited to read the same Scriptures throughout the week and gather to discuss what God is teaching us. Come grow in God’s Word together!
Ladies Bible Study
A ladies Bible Study led by Missy Bayer meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in room N103. This year’s study will be based on the book Men of the Bible by Ann Spangler/Robert Wolgemuth.
Small Groups
Small groups are a wonderful way to grow in faith, share prayer requests, and build deeper relationships within our church family. Groups typically meet twice a month in members' homes. If you are interested in joining a group, let us know by filling out a Connect Card.

Opportunities
to serve & Give
Fall Church Work Day
Lend a hand and help us beautify the church building and grounds on Saturday, October 24. The day will begin at 8 a.m. with donuts in the lobby and will wrap up at around noon.
WOW Volunteering at Cultivate Food Rescue
Our Women of Worth group, geared towards working women and/or those with children still at home, is heading to Cultivate to help pack meals on Saturday, November 7 from 9 - 11:00 a.m. Sign up onilne at gcmc.info. We have 20 spots to fill. If the spots have not filled as the date gets closer, we will make them available to others in the church.
Operation Christmas Child
Help us send hope and happiness to children globally this Christmas! Everything you need to get started is waiting for you at the lobby table—including your box, helpful packing tips, and gift ideas. Cardboard boxes are completely free, or you can opt for a plastic box for a $3 donation. We also have soccer balls and pumps available for $6 to help fill your box. Please bring your completed boxes back no later than November 15.
Hospitality Volunteers
Help us create a warm and welcoming environment for guests by providing quality refreshments in the lobby on Sunday mornings, including coffee, creamers, and cookies. We’re looking for additional volunteers to help expand this ministry of hospitality. If you would enjoy helping people feel welcomed and cared for as they arrive, write “Hospitality” on a Connect Card. Your simple act of service can help create an environment where people feel welcome in the lobby and open to hearing God’s Word in the service.
Basketball Ministry
Gospel Center’s Basketball Ministry has started back up. The school-age group meets from 11:45-1:30p and the 18+ group meets from 5:30-7:00 p.m. We are asking for donations of snacks and bottled water, as well as lunches. Donations of snacks and bottled water can be left in the gym kitchen. Sign up at the Info Center to help provide lunch for specific dates.
Ways to Give Financially
Besides the offering taken during the morning service, there are four easy ways to give a financial donation. You can give in our church offering box located on the wall outside the sanctuary doors, online at our church website, mail it into our church office, or by texting your donation amount to 574-281-4998.
